Richard Connelly died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 29th, in Mesa, Arizona. He was born on August 6, 1943, the sixth child to James and Violet (Hanson) Connelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Violet, as well as his siblings, John and Wayne Connelly and Evelyn Kabage.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Charlotte (LeBeau) Connelly, as well as his four children, William (Bill) Connelly of Coon Rapids, MN, Brenda Uhlig (Dwayne) of Mesa, Arizona, Christina Connelly-Fischer (Richard) of Strongsville, Ohio, and Sharon Garritt (Mitch) of Poquoson, Virginia. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, Caden and McKenna Uhlig; Perpetua, Agnes-Rose, Athanasius, Cyprian, Caterina, R. Fabian Francis, and Annunciata Fischer; Annabelle and Trevalyn Garritt; and Richard's sisters Jeanette Grinager of Eyota, MN and Jane Tyler of Phoenix, Arizona.
He was an active member of his community, both in Dodge Center, MN, where he was a lifelong resident, and Mesa, Arizona, where he retired. He retired from EEI, inc after many years of service. He enjoyed playing golf, sudoku, as well as spending time with friends and family. He will be missed by many.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on November 11th at 11 am at St John Baptiste de la Salle, Dodge Center, MN. A luncheon will follow. Private interment.
