Richard Earl Daniel passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on January 29, 1954, Richard grew up in Bryan, Texas. He was deeply respected for his strong-willed, determined personality and his unwavering commitment to hard work and family values.

Known affectionately to his friends as "Biggun," Richard embodied loyalty and devotion. He was a loving dad, a proud pawpaw, and a caring brother. His soft-hearted nature was complemented by his steadfast principles, instilling in his children the importance of family and work ethic. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, valuing punctuality and hard work. Richard's love for his grandkids and great-grandkids was evident, and he was known for always being on time and making time for those he loved.

Richard married Debbie Daniel on October 11, 1973. Together, they had three children during their marriage. His legacy of love, hard work, and faith lives on through them and the generations that follow.

Richard's faith as a Christian was a cornerstone of his life; he found solace in prayer throughout his days, especially as his family continued to grow. He took great pleasure in sharing memorable moments with his loved ones, especially during trips to Big Bend with his brothers or gathering for barbecues at his mother's home. The warmth of family bonds was paramount to Richard.

He had a variety of interests and hobbies that filled his life with joy. Richard was an avid collector of guns, knives, and various other items, with a passion for hunting, fishing, and gardening. He cherished spending time on his mom's back porch and appreciated the simple pleasures of life-love for music, especially old country and rock, and watching classic films featuring John Wayne or Clint Eastwood. His affinity for the Green Bay Packers and classic television shows like Gunsmoke and The Andy Griffith Show brought him added joy in his leisure time.

Richard leaves behind a loving family that includes his siblings Dean Daniel and wife Deborah, Judy Payne, Larry Daniel and wife Rose, Rita Williams and husband David; children Shane Daniel and daughter in law Roschell, Stella Duffy and husband Scott, and Sabrina Dellinges and husband Chris; grandchildren Ty King and wife Amber, Haylee Daniel and boyfriend Tucker Rogess, Bailee Purvis and husband Dylan, Shelbie Duffy, Tanner Duffy, Adyson Dellinges, Acen Dellinges, and Knox Dellinges, and great-grandchildren Brantley Purvis, Sadie Purvis, Cash Carter, Presley King, and soon-to-be River Rose Rodgers.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Jeremiah Daniel, his mother Mae Currie and husband Newell; grandparents Joseph and Stella Barnes; brothers Ronnie Daniel and Steve Daniel; as well as many cherished childhood friends and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers include Ray Harris, Tony Atzenhoffer, Lee Boyd, Tanner Duffy, Acen Dellinges, and Ty King.

A visitation will take place at Trinity Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas on August 25, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Richard Earl Daniel's memory will be carried on by all who were fortunate enough to know him, and he will forever remain in our hearts.
