Richard “Dick” Henry Jenkins, 81 of Hermantown, died Wed. Nov. 8th at the Benedictine Health Center, with his family by his side. Dick was born Feb. 7, 1942, in Two Harbors, to Henry and Lorraine Jenkins and he graduated from Two Harbors High School. He worked at Lex Bakery and Seagren’s Flowers, both in Two Harbors, National T, J.C. Campbell Company, Stewart's Wheel Goods from 1972 to 1996, RJ Sport and Cycle for 12 years, the Hermantown Arena and he was a funeral assistant here at Dougherty’s. He met Patti Olson, and they were married on Dec. 20, 1980. Dick enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing, roller skating, and breakfasts with the Chalet Breakfast Club and his four-legged friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lorraine, his sister, Elaine and his brother, Kenneth.
Dick is survived by his wife, Patti; daughter, Jody and her children, Rhianna and Nicole and her 2 great grandchildren; and his son, Scott (Danette); and his Grandchildren, Dia, Ryder and Austin Phillip; siblings, Robert, Gretchen (George) Herr and Randy (Marcia) and many cousins and friends. He will be greatly Missed.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 17th from 5-7pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home, where visitation will continue Saturday from 10am to the 11am services. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
