Richard Marvin Donovan

Richard Marvin Donovan, 83, of Hubert, passed away peacefully on November 08, 2025 in Valley Hospice House, Fayetteville, NC.
Born on November 14, 1941, in Monterey Park, California. Richard was the son of the late Ralph Edward Donovan JR and the late Elizabeth Louise Nicolai Donovan. Richard grew up in Baldwin Park, California after graduation from Baldwin Park High School he joined the United States Marine Corps. Richard served a tour in Vietnam. After getting out of the USMC in 1975, Richard and his family made Hubert their home. Richard went to work at the Camp LeJeune Naval Hospital where he retired after 30 years with the Civil Service. Richard enjoyed working outside in his yard until his heath made it impossible for him to do so.
Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years Louise Marie Libbe Donovan. Infant daughter, son Michael Richard Donovan, Grandchildren, Olivia Lynn Shay, Mason James Irvin and John Anthony Moudy.
Richard is survived by his daughters Lori Shay and husband Steve, Laura Moudy both of Lees Summit, MO and son Sean Donovan and wife Monika of Germany.
Grandchildren Marie Wagner of Maysville, NC, Aaron Shay and wife Elizabeth of Sibley, MO, James Shay and husband Cooper of Independence, MO Elizabeth Williams and husband Jeremy of Kansas City, MO, Mike Ohl of Germany, Matthew Donovan and wife Amy of Texas, Mark Donovan and wife Alex of Fort Collins, Co,
Josh Donovan of Upland, CA and 8 Great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri
