Richard was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio and went on to obtain his Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Notre Dame university in 1963. He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, The Experimental Aircraft Association, Procelain Enamel Institute, US Airforce Association and the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association.
He is survived by his brother John Patrick Dooley (Nora) of Oswego, Illinois.
Services for Richard will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home, 408 W. Wooster St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
