Richard W. "Rick" Douglas, age 70 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at his home in Salem.
Richard was born on November 19, 1954, the son of Grady and Laurene (Huckabee) Douglas. He married Teresa (Scrivner) Douglas on July 30, 2019 in Panama City Beach, Florida and she survives in Salem.
In addition to his wife, Rick is survived by his mother, Laurene Berry of Godfrey; two children, Scott Douglas and wife Stacey of Wood River, and Jamie Douglas of Alton; three stepchildren Bryan Karcher and wife Taylor, Courtney Karcher, and Nathan Karcher and wife Amy all of Dahlgren; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Sherri McVey and husband Rodney of Wood River; and his dog, Sugie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Douglas; and a brother, Alan Douglas.
There will be no public services at this time. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.

Hey rick. This is Joey your sis in law. We have had some crazy times together. You and alan were like twins in everything you two did together. Teresa you were very good for rick. I think you kept him in line. I just want to thank you for beening there for him. I loved him. He was more than a brother in law to me. He was my brother. I will be praying for you teresa. I love you teresa
