Richard Evans Jr. 73, of Gahanna, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on February 9, 2025. He was born on September 4, 1951 to the late Richard and Juanita (Newman) Evans Sr. Richard graduated from Whitehall High School where he wrestled. He enjoyed golfing where he was a member at Jefferson Country Club, fishing and turkey shooting. Richard was also a master carpenter and used those skills rehabbing houses. Richard is survived by his 23 year companion Sherri Orr, son Michael (Veronica); grandchildren Maiya, Corbin and Brooks, brother Mike (Kathy) Evans, niece and nephew Shelby (Brian) Mincks, Logan Evans and his favorite dog Rocky along with many other family and friends.
