Richard Eversull Obituary

With respect and great appreciation, we celebrate the life of Richard Bruce Eversull, born to Richard Floyd Eversull and Martha Elizabeth Stellpflug on May 18, 1950, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Richard recalled with fondness his youth and summers spent learning and working on his grandparents' farm which bred a lifelong love of all things cowboy.

Richard was a proud alumnus of the University of Wyoming where he studied microbiology. He married Karen Lee Brown on April 13, 1973; together they built a family and shared 51 years. Richard experienced significant adversity but did not allow his circumstances to dictate the course of his life. He was stubborn, witty, impatient, curious and resilient. He enjoyed work and spent the majority of his career in sales at Hyclone Laboratories. After retirement Richard dedicated his time to serving the community. Richard was caretaker of Nibley's Morgan Farm where he founded and directed the annual Cache Valley Live Nativity until 2022. He served as a board member at OPTIONS for Independence, empowering people with disabilities to live independently, and was a member of the Utah State Rehabilitation Services Council.

Richard died on October 7, 2024, in his home in Nibley, Utah. He lived meaningfully and his influence touched many lives.

Richard is survived by his amazing wife, Karen and his children Christian (Rebecca), Aaron (Nicole), Phillip (Andrea), and Adria Eversull. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as his mother Martha, and sister Janet (Rick) Orrison. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard.

Richard will be missed by his family and many friends. Richard received tremendous love and support from countless caretakers, healthcare providers, neighbors and friends, to all of whom his family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Nibley 5th Ward, 3701 South 450 West, Nibley, Utah 84321. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 -11:30 a.m. also at the church. The Interment will be in the Smithfield Cemetery.
