Richard B. Flickinger

Richard B. Flickinger, of Hanover, passed away, suddenly, on July 1, 2023, at the age of 71. He was the beloved husband of Karen E. (Sanders) Flickinger; the loving father of Stacy Krieger and Joshua Flickinger; the cherished grandfather of Dylan and Makensey Krieger; and the dear brother of Michael Flickinger and his wife, Gale and Terry Flickinger and his wife, Deb. He is also survived by his stepmother, Patricia Flickinger. He was preceded in death by his brother, Blaine Flickinger and his parents, Clinton and Norma (Heberling) Flickinger.
Richard (Flick) was a hard-worker, a family man, and he loved his country very much. Contrary to popular belief he also loved his dog, Snickers. When Flick wasn't working at Schmucks or working on his home he was spending time with his wife, Karen. They did everything together. He especially loved the time spent with his work family at Schmucks. Anyone that knows Flick knows he loved his garage and he was very proud of the work he put in to it. He was loved by many and will be truly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering in celebration of Richard's life on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., with a time of sharing at 6:30 p.m., at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown. Interment private.
