Obituary of Richard Hedrick
Richard Hedrick, age 73 of Palm Bay, FL passed away on Thursday May 11, 2023. He was born October 4, 1949 in Dayton, OH. Son of Russell and Ada Hedrick.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, sister Rose, nephews Rusty and Rodney, and niece Cherie
Richard is survived by his wife Dawn Hedrick (Norris), sons Jayson Christopher and Aaron(AJ), daughters Amanda Trina and Ashley, brothers Russell twin brother Roger Ray Randy Ricky and Ronnie, sisters Robyn Rebecca(Becky) and Rhama, 16 grandchildren and many many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Richard serves in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1973 on the USS Ticonderoga. He had an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement. He worked mostly in security and managed at a bowling alley; where we met. We have been married for 24 hard but wonderful years. He loved his family and friends and "working" with the Moving and Traveling Vietnam Memorial Walls one in Dayton, OH and the other here in Brevard County FL.
Richard enjoyed and loved working with Veterans and coaching bowling to kids of all ages-even adults. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family but especially the grandkids.
Richard would always be trying to make people laugh, especially if he knew you were having a bad day or just needed a laugh, and even when it really wasn't appropriate time for laughter he was there to lighten the mood.
Richard had a hard life especially the last 4yrs he fought throat cancer and beat it but he never really recouped. He fought a good fight but he was tired and ready to go "home".
Richard is truly missed and LUVED by many. I was your "Angel in the Dark" but now my LUV you are "My Angel in the Dark". Always My Love
