Richard Higley Obituary
He was born on April 29, 1986 in Lafayette, Indiana to Richard Leon Higley I and Jacqueline Eberle Higley.
Richard graduated from Jefferson High School in 2006. He served in the Army National Guard from 2010-2014, where he was stationed in Afghanistan.
On October 2, 2023, he married Kelsey Wright in Lafayette.
Richard worked as an assembler for Dana Corp for the past 2 years.
He enjoyed playing video games like God of War and role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. Richard also liked watching Anime, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, reading especially Norse Mythology, and being outdoors. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Kelsey Higley of Lafayette; his father, Richard Higley I of Lafayette; his children, Korra Allen, Richard Leon Higley III, Serenity Higley, Addison Higley, and Tobyas Higley; and his siblings, Talitha Leon of West Lafayette, Tabitha Corbin of Otterbein, Tiva (Scott) Elliott of Remington, Priscilla (Brian) Hood of Fowler, and Zebulun "Zeb" Higley of Lafayette. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Higley.
A Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 7 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Military Honors. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mary T. Klinker Veterans Resource Center in loving memory of Richard.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Richard's family at this time. As a teacher at Jeff, I was lucky to get to know Richard and his sisters. I think of the Highley family with fond memories.
