Richard Allan Kakalec passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at his Bayonne residence. He was born in Staten Island to the late Margaret (nee: Craig) and Arthur Kakalec and was a long-time Bayonne resident. He was a supervisor for United Parcel Service in the Loading Department from 1995-2013.

Richard proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army.

Richard is survived by his beloved daughter, Christine Bohl-Bellajaro, and her husband, Markcuss; his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Bohl-Bellajaro and Bryant Bohl-Bellajaro; his dear siblings, Arthur Kakalec, Robert Kakalec, George Kakalec, and his wife, Vicky, William Kakalec, Donnie Kakalec, and his wife, Delia, Marie Kakalec and Dorothy "Ellie" Kakalec, Frank Mayhack, Joanne Nebenburgh, and her husband, Frank, Debbie Cherenzia, and Maryellen Vargas, and her husband, Angel; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
