Richard Louis Kimble, 60, of Sparland Illinois, died on June 8, 2025 in Lacon Illinois. He was born in Kewanee Illinois to Albert and Marsha (Kelly) Kimble.

Richard is survived by his girlfriend for the last 20 years Sherri Moore of Lacon; mother Marsha (Henry Weers) Hicks of Rockledge Florida and Lacon; daughter Megan Lane of Chillicothe; sister Teresa (Mike) Stultz of Sparks, Nevada; and four grandchildren

Richard was preceded in death by his father Albert, son Dylan Lane, sister Kimberly Donovan, brother Charlie Lemons; and step brother Cheyenne Lemons.

Richard was born raised and lived in Sparland most of his life. He worked for Kimble Concrete Company for over 20 years, a stint at Sears, and his last job was cooking at Grandma's Bar and Grill in Henry.

Richard, or "Buddha" as he was known, loved to tinker with anything with an engine. If you needed it, he had it, and knew right where it was. He was loved by all the kids and grandkids that came into his life with Sherri.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13 from 5 to 7 PM at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon with cremation rites to follow. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 14 at Grandma's Bar and Grill from noon to 5pm. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
