Richard Henry Kubat

Richard H. Kubat, age 83, of Montvale, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Son of the late Henry and Johanna Kubat, Rich was born May 28, 1942 in Queens, New York. He was raised in Valley Stream, New York, and later moved to New Jersey to start a family. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Rich spent the majority of his career in printing sales in New York and the surrounding area.
Rich was a loving father and devoted grandfather. He enjoyed time spent with his children and cherished seeing his grandkids, including his granddog Dixie. A lifelong New York sports fan, a good day was watching a Mets game or catching a win by his beloved Giants where he was a proud season ticket holder for many years.
He is survived by his children, Richard Kubat, Jr., Jonathan Kubat, Bonnie Reddington and her husband Brian, and their mother Susan Kubat; his grandchildren, Jesse Omelczuk, Quinn, Luke and Taylor Reddington; his sister, Dorothy LeClaire, as well as a niece and several nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday August 7, 2025 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday August 7, 2025 , at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus, NJ. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ
