Obituary of Stacy Marie Kubat
Stacy Marie Kubat passed away on April 9th, 2025 surrounded by her family in Edina, Minnesota.
Stacy was born on March 27th, 1965 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She grew up on Lake Johanna in Arden Hills, and enjoyed a childhood full of family, friends, and rescuing any stray animal she came across. She went on to receive her bachelor's and master's degrees in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University, and had a successful career in sales in the healthcare industry. She was married in 1997 to Daniel Joseph Kubat, sharing lots of love and laughter while raising two children together. They relocated their family to Centerville in 2003, and spent many weekends at their cabin in Webb Lake, Wisconsin.
Anyone who met Stacy would be able to tell you how bright her personality was. She was able to walk into a room of strangers and minutes later have many new friends. She loved music, and previously performed with the band The Late Arrivals as a singer. She valued family, and was particularly close with her parents, Pete and Patt, who lived with her until their passings in 1999 and 2015. She embraced life fully, fearlessly, and was always ready to make any moment a little bit more fun. She was one-of-a-kind, and leaves behind endless stories, which her family asks you think of fondly and with laughter, as she would have wanted. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
She is remembered and survived by her husband, Dan; her children, Mariah (Adrien) and Tristan (Madilyn); her brothers, Mark (Kathy) and Scot; two beloved dogs, Murphy and Luna; nieces and nephews, many cousins, and a lifetime of friends.
A celebration of life will be planned for a future date.
