Richard D. LeBrun 81 of Malmo, formerly of New Hope passed away on November 17, 2024. He was born on November 24, 1942 in Adrian, MN to James and Lorraine LeBrun. He grew up and attended schools in Lismore, St. Kilian, Adrian and graduated from Elbow Lake High School in 1960.
He immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army and served 3 years, 2 of those years was served in Korea as the Battle Group Mailman in the DMZ. Upon his discharge he moved to the Twin Cities. On June 26, 1965 he married Anita M. Weossner, they lived in New Hope for 42 years.
Dick worked in the HVAC/R Industry for most of his career. He was President of the Twin Cities RSES Chapter and also UMRA. He retired in May 2007. He was a member of Wealthwood Rod and Gun Club, Aitkin American Legion and Izaty's Golf League. He was an avid softball player, loved taking the grandkids bobber fishing, trips to Canada, hunting pheasants in North Dakota, duck and deer hunting. He was a Soldier, Veteran, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather. To us he was affectionately known as "Papa".
He is survived by his wife Anita of 59 years; daughters Tonya (Dean) Larsen and Kristen (Brian) Manthey; grandchildren Maxwell, Briana (Matthew), Richard, Katelyn and Ella; siblings Judilee Smith and James LeBrun.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 22nd at Washburn-McReavy in Robbinsdale at 4239 West Broadway Ave. Robbinsdale, MN 55422 from 4 pm-7 pm.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior at St. Raphael Catholic Church located at 7301 Bass Lake Rd. Crystal, MN 55428.
Burial will be Monday, November 25th, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
