Richard Lemorie Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Richard Charles Lemorie 81 (1943-2025) passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2025 in Howell, MI.
After graduating from Brighton High School in 1961, Richard applied to service his country in the military, but due to a heart murmur he was disqualified. However, his life path embodied the values of protecting and serving in his own way. This strength inspired his eldest son, now a military veteran, to service as he had wished to. He worked as a machinist in Brighton for many years before moving onto Howell Public Schools where he retired from.
He married his beloved wife Sharon in 1970. In August they celebrated 55 wonderful years together. Richard had a great love for his family and his faith. He also enjoyed painting, wood craving, reading and his model trains. As a young man he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father, brother and uncle.
Richard is survived by his wife Sharon; their sons Michael (Sarah), Jonathan (Ashley); his sister Colleen (Carl) Edson, brother Larry Lemorie and his grandchildren Gabriel, Raphael, Cody, Brody, Ethan, Sutton, Parker and great granddaughter Emmerson. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mildred Lemorie, and his sister Charlene Mahalak.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday September 11 at Cornerstone Church in Brighton. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 with a service to follow at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cornerstone Church in his memory.
