Richard lived a life filled with adventure, curiosity, and quiet strength. A proud U.S. Army veteran who served in the Vietnam era, Richard carried the spirit of service and resilience with him throughout his life. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, camping, and riding his motorcycle across backroads and open highways. His hands were rarely idle-whether building as a skilled carpenter, tinkering with computers, or capturing the world through the lens of his camera. Known by his call letters W2IM, Richard was a dedicated amateur radio operator who loved connecting with people near and far.
A fan of the Buffalo Bills and professional wrestling, he enjoyed watching these events with friends and family. He was someone who could fix just about anything he put his mind to.
Richard’s easygoing spirit, love of the outdoors, and endless curiosity left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.
His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 31st at 2:00 pm at Bergen United Methodist Church, 27 South Lake Ave, Bergen, NY 14416
