Richard “Ricky” Charles Majors, 62, of Taylorsville, GA where his physical journey ended on this earth February 16, 2025 surrounded by his wife of 36 years, Tina Majors, and friends. He was born in Melrose Park, IL and grew up in Powder Springs, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Majors, father, Donald E. Majors Sr., and brother, Donald E. Majors, Jr.

Richard attended McEachern High School, Class of 1981. He was an adventurous person and lived life to the fullest. He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed volunteering on charity rides. He was the manager at Westbrooke Farm in Kennesaw where he was the farm/breeding manager. The farm is also where he and Tina met, worked together, and got married on horseback in 1988. He and Tina owned/operated Majors’ Septic Tank Service from 2001 to 2015. During this time they discovered scenario paintball and became known as “The Sewer Rats” where Richard was the captain. They traveled around Georgia, Tennessee, North/South Carolina to battle other teams in mostly WWII scenarios. Richard, along with Tina, managed Woodstock Village Mobile Home park for 15 years where they met many good friends and had amazing cookouts inviting all the residents, family and friends. One of the most interesting accomplishments of Richard’s was the staging and employing two haunted houses for charity. One haunted house was in Powder Springs, GA and the other was in Woodstock, GA. He was known for his cooking, plus he was a BBQ pitmaster, well known for his smoking and bar-b-que abilities. He was one of the best southern boys you could find, always ready to lend a hand or jump in when help was needed.

He is survived by two sisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Richard is remembered by many friends Jamie, Sabrina, Robbie, Phil, Bobby and Renee. He is also remembered by Bobbie and Marsha Watkins, Judy Stewart, and Dewayne and Christie Stewart, along with many cousins and family.

A cookout will be held on Saturday March 29, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. As this has been an ongoing struggle for the past year please consider in lieu of flowers contributing to Tina Majors as she maneuvers to regain her footing in her grief.
