Richard J Mossner Jr. 99 of Reese, Michigan passed away in the early morning of August 15, 2025, at his home. He was born October 21, 1925, in Saginaw Michigan. Son of the late Richard J Mossner Sr and Edna Beery. On August 14, 1948, he married Patricia A Seidell in Imaly City, Michigan. She predeceased him on October 28, 2011, after 63 years of marriage.

He served in The United States Army in World War II. Richard took part in several engagements including Normandy, Battle of the Bulge and other special operations. After the Army Richard worked for the railroad for a few years and then Grey-Iron Foundry in Saginaw as Supervisor Mill Wright for 30 years. Richard enjoyed traveling and in later years he enjoyed doing day trips with his son Greg.

Surviving are two sons Stephen (Linda) Mossner of Old Hickory Tennessee and Gregory Mossner of Reese, Michigan, one daughter Elizabeth Tack of Caro, Michigan, and his son-in-law Bruce Daenzer. He is also survived by grandchildren Heather Bouck of Sebewaing Michigan, Ryan Mossner of Caro, Michigan, McKenzie Seder (Aaron) of Saginaw, Michigan, Allison Daenzer of Saginaw, Michigan and Ian Mossner of Old Hickory Tennessee, four great grandchildren and one great grandchild and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Mossner. Also surviving are several nephews and nieces and many friends including special friends Danny Prell and Joann Johnson, and beloved dog Lilly.

In addition to his parents Richard was predeceased by his Daughter Alice A Daenzer in January 2002; Son- In-law Jim Tack; three brothers Dale, Clifford (Shirley) and Bruce Mossner all of Reese, Michigan and sisters Emily (Jim) McDonald and Jean (Dallas) Heins of Key West, Floridia

Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from the Christ Lutheran Church in Reese. Pastor Phil Bromhal will officiate with Committal Services to follow in the Blumfield Township Cemetery. Richards's family will receive friends at the Christ Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the family's wishes in c/o of his son Gregory Mossner
