Mary Mossner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Penzien-Steele Funeral Home - In Vassar on Apr. 7, 2024.
Mary Ann Mossner, age 62 of Frankenmuth, MI, entered her eternal home in Heaven on Saturday April 6, 2024 with her husband at her side after a 3-years battle with pancreatic cancer. Mary Ann was born on December 3, 1961, in Caro, MI to the late Keith and Barbara (Ruggles) Green. Mary Ann came to know the Lord as her Savior at a young age, learning to walk and live for Him throughout her years of life. She was a 1980 graduate of Caro High School. Mary Ann worked as a secretary/bookkeeper over many years, most recently for the First United Methodist Church in Vassar for 16 years and also Farm Service Agency in Caro.
Mary Ann was very musically talented playing 12 different instruments mostly by ear, even serenading friends/relatives in nursing homes while she was sick. She had a memory like no other, worked hard on the farm alongside her husband, planted and harvested her garden, and preserved its bountiful produce. She had a love for her dog Zoey and all her farm animals and a greater joy for being on the tractor than in the kitchen.
During this last three years, many were blessed by answered prayer through her entries in Mary Ann's Moments on Facebook, where she shared her strong faith, help and comfort through her trials. Others were encouraged through cards and pick-me-up phone calls, when she herself felt weary. She had a great testimony and knew God was always good and faithful to her through it all. We will miss her sweet smile, cheerful laugh and enduring strength.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Allen Mossner and her daughter Kelly (Andrew) Blegen of Frankenmuth; her step-children: Christine (Karim) Lyatmi, Zachary Mossner and 3 grandchildren, her beloved sister Eileen (Cliff) Doering of Caro and her brother Irwin( Kim) Green of Caro as well as in-laws Ilene Kehn, David (Kerry) Mossner and Cathy (Duane) Weiss. She was blessed and loved by a special nephew D.J. Weiss who always lent a helping hand, amazing aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and a slew of on line friends. Besides her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a brother Virgil Green in March of 2023.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Richville. Pastor Mark Auernhamer will officiate with interment at St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House, VNA Hospice or St. John Lutheran (Frankenmuth) Media Ministries. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, Vassar and at the Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Mary Anne was a very kind and generous lady. Always had
a big smile even when she was in pain. We all will miss her and I know God has another special angel with him.
