Richard G. Newman, a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on September 14, 2025, in Croydon, Pennsylvania. Born in Bristol, Pennsylvania, on August 14, 1958, Richard lived a life marked by love, friendship, and generosity.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia "Ginny" Newman (nee White), and his son, Matthew Newman. Richard also leaves behind a legacy of love with his brothers, John B. Newman (Teresa) and James S. Newman (Mariellen), his two nieces, five nephews, and twelve grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Newman Sr. and Mary C. Newman (nee Sinko), his nephew, Kyle Newman, and his grandnephew Finn Newman.

Richard graduated from Delhaas High School in 1976 and soon after embarked on a career that would span decades as a dedicated printing press and machine operator.

He was an avid sports fan, finding joy in watching his favorite teams, the Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers. Richard also had a deep love for horse racing, particularly harness racing, where he appreciated the skill and beauty of the sport.

An ardent fisherman and bowler, Richard's hobbies provided him with a sense of peace and camaraderie. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, whether it was casting a line into the water or celebrating a strike at the bowling alley.

Those who knew Richard will remember him as a loving, friendly, and generous man. He had a way of making everyone he met feel welcomed and valued, and his warm presence will be deeply missed. Richard's legacy is not only in the love he shared but also in the countless lives he touched with his kindness and compassion.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM at Molden Funeral Chapel, 133 Otter Street, Bristol, PA. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon following the service at Joseph Schumacher VFW Post, 902 Bellevue Ave, Croydon.
