PASTRICK, RICHARD of Troy; passed away April 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Richard was born to parents William and Julia Pawlack Pastrick on July 14, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. Brother of the late: Howard (the late Dora) Pastrick, Paul (the late Mary) Pastrick, Tommy Pastrick, Teddy Pastrick and Martha (Larry) Lowney. He was the last surviving sibling. Richard married Patricia Griggs Pastrick on April 8, 1961 at the United Pentecostal Church of Sikeston, Missouri. They recently celebrated 64 years of marriage. Brother-in-law of Athine and Darrell VanZant; Dear father of Lisa (George) Hamzik, Lori (Randy) Collick and Karen (Jason) Durfee; Loving grandfather of Justin, Jessica, Heather, Joseph, the late Megan, Rachel, Connor Chelsea and Tyler; Uncle of Sandy, the late Debra, Bob, Diane, Carolyn, Michael, Janet, Paula, Barbie, Matthew, Chad, Christopher and Michael; Special friend of David and Lee Heythaler since 1975. Richard served in the United States Army from December 1960 to November 1962 and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. He continued to serve in the United States Army Reserve until 1966. Richard worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in Detroit his entire career. During that time he became an avid coin collector. He also enjoyed gardening, bowling, camping, puzzles and watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. Richard and his family attended the Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills. His family and friends miss him dearly, but they know he has an eternal reward in heaven. A celebration of Richard's life will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at The Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills, 3655 North Squirrel Road, Auburn Hills. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025 at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, 38425 Garfield Road, Clinton Township.
