Richard John Redovian, 74, the son of the late John and Irene (Degi) Redovian, passed away
peacefully in Cody, WY, on Thursday, October 31, 2024, after a short battle with brain
cancer.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Teri; his son, Eric Redovian, of Kenton,
Tennessee and daughter, Vanessa of Arizona. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly
(Michael) Wise, of Akron, Ohio, and his brothers, Dennis (Susan) Redovian of Greenville,
South Carolina, Wayne Redovian of Vail, Colorado, and sister-in-law, Barb Ward of Billings,
Montana. Richard is also survived by several grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
Richard was born July 15, l950, in Akron, Ohio, where he graduated from Green High School
in 1968, having played on the basketball team as well as a member of the marching band.
Upon graduation Richard's calling took him westward. He initially relocated to California
for several years before moving to Idaho and then eventually settling in Cody, Wyoming.
Richard lived a full and active life. He was a 45+ year accomplished shooter where he
participated, placed and won, several state and national pistol championships. He was
Vice President of the Cody Shooting Complex. Richard loved his motorcycling days and his
cars. He was also an avid drag racer. His favorite car to line up against the competition
was his Orange Fury Mustang. Richard appreciated humor and touched the lives of those
around him with his witty banter and jokes, right up until his final days.
Richard's career began as a young man in the flooring business. Here in Wyoming Richard
owned a flooring sub-contracting enterprise that he loved and took great pride, installing
quality flooring throughout Cody and Park County. He continued to work until a few
months before his death.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Spirit Mountain Hospice for the compassion and
excellent care during Richard's brief illness.
Visitation and remembrance will take place at Ballard Funeral Home, 636 19th Street, Cody,
Wyoming, Friday, November 8, 2024, from 4:00-6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Richard's memory to the Cody
Shooting Complex.

Our family lived across the street from Redovian“s, on Cottage Grove Rd. I remember Richard loved fast cars. We often heard him coming home, from several blocks away, kind of like my brother Eddie making the turn off Moore Rd onto Cottage Grove!
Rest in peace, Richard.
