Richard "Dick" Rosenthal, devout spouse, husband and grandfather, passed away on November 10, 2025 at his home in South Bend, IN at the age of 88. The viewing and funeral services will be held at the Hoven Chapel (Palmer Funeral Homes) in Buchanan, Michigan on Saturday November 15, 2025. The viewing will begin at 8:30 with the funeral service beginning at 9:30 am.
Dick was born in Buchanan MI to Louisa and Jacob Rosenthal on July 28, 1937. He spent his youth in Buchanan, MI raising and showing horses as his favorite hobby. He graduated from Buchanan High School and married Deloris I. Webber on October 30, 1962 in Buchanan, MI. After high school he began his career with Clark Equipment Company as an information specialist and continued in various roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately retiring as the Head of Corporate Human Relations.
Dick was a loving spouse, father and grandfather who loved animals, from horses to dogs to cats. He also loved gardening and working outside to keep busy and stay active. He was passionate about boating on Lake Michigan and had maintained a boat in St. Joseph, MI for many years prior to and into his retirement.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Rosenthal, his mother, Louisa Rosenthal, his father, Jacob Rosenthal and his sister, Anita Pate.
Dick is survived by; daughter, Lisa A. Rosenthal, son, Richard "Scott" Rosenthal (and wife Christine); grandchildren, Sierra S. Rosenthal and Jacob M. Rosenthal.
Memorials in memory of Dick may be given to the St Joseph County Humane Society.
