Richard “Tom” Ryker, 91, of Carmel passed away surrounded by his family on March 16, 2024. Tom was born on March 22, 1932 in Madison, Indiana to Dean Ernest Ryker and Margaret Rose Wetzel. He is survived by 9 children, Diana (Bill) Brunsman, of Sunman, IN, Beth (Ralph) Steiner of League City, TX, Tim (Jan) of Batesville, IN, Chris (Tarra) of Greenwood, IN, Michael (Michele) of Greenwood, IN, Mary Herandez of Carmel, IN, Jon (Jo) of Covington, KY, Becky Doyle of Carmel, IN, Margaret (Sean) Doherty of Westfield, IN, 27 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Reta June, his parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and 1 son Dave Ryker.
Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.
