With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Richard “Tre” Julius Skyles III, who left this world on June 20, 2025, just days after celebrating his 33rd birthday.

Tre was a bright light with a big presence—goofy, outgoing, and a little bit stubborn in the most endearing way. He had a fierce spirit and a gentle heart, always ready to protect those he loved. He couldn’t stand to see anyone hurting and would go out of his way to lift the spirits of those around him. His laugh was contagious, and his love for life was evident in everything he did.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jamica Alexius and Richard Julius Skyles Jr., and his devoted step-parents, David Alexius and Angela Skyles. He is also survived by his cherished sibling, Maria Rivera, his grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins. Lastly, he is survived by his greatest joys—his children: Colton Skyles, Landen Baskin, Emersyn Skyles, and Harper Skyles.

Tre’s love, loyalty, and laughter will live on in the memories of his family and friends. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact and spirit will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, with Visitation starting 10:00 AM and the service to follow at 12:00 PM.
