Richard L. Steese, peacefully passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on February 6, 1935, in Canton, Ohio, Richard lived a life rich with experiences, laughter, and the warmth of friendship.
After serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps from October 24, 1953, to October 23, 1956, Richard returned to his roots in Canton, where he dedicated many years to his work as a machinist at the Timken Roller Bearing Company.
Richard's life was brimming with simple joys. He loved breakfast gatherings and traveling with good friends. He delighted in the thrill of thrift shopping and discovering hidden treasures at flea markets. A passionate coin collector, Richard found joy in curating his collection, often sharing his findings and knowledge with others.

He is survived by his daughters Deborah Flowers (Shawn) and Susan Long, grandchildren Chris Long (Sarah), Amanda Dawson (Todd), Samantha Zanin, Brittany Melville (Brandon), and Kirby Flowers, and great-grandchildren Brayden, Brantley, Lexi, Jay, George, and Athena.
