Quiet hands cast lines,
patience ripples on the lake
his love still echoes.
In Loving Memory of Uncle Richard
Uncle Richard was more than an uncle to me, he was a father figure, a guide, and a source of quiet strength during some of the hardest times in my life, especially through my high school years. From him, I learned to appreciate fishing not just as a pastime, but as a true sport and a way to connect with nature and patience.
When I was in the Army, every time I came back to my hometown, I would visit him. He always had encouraging words for me and never failed to tell me how proud he was. Those words meant the world to me, and they still do.
He was a hardworking, dedicated man, deeply committed to his family, and he carried himself with integrity and care. I honor his life and his example, and I am forever grateful for the privilege of calling him my uncle and elder. His memory will always hold a cherished place in my heart. Today, I celebrate his life with gratitude.
There is a place in heaven for you, Uncle.
