Richard Townsend Obituary
Richard was a farmer, he grew broilers, hogs, grain and had a backhoe business. He married December 1, 1954, recently celebrating 71 years of marriage.
He served in the US Army; his wife Faye White Townsend joined him in France when their first child was born.
Survivors include his wife, four children Amy Ormerod (Dana), Richard Ray Townsend (Kathy), Michelle Yorgey (Kurt), Dean Townsend (Coni). He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and a brother Robert Townsend (Judy).
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, Mount Hermon Lions Club (no longer in existence), Maryland Farm Bureau, Mount Hermon Plow Days, and First State Antique Tractor Club.
A service will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment at Wicomico Memorial Park.
The funeral service for Richard Dean Townsend will begin Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 10:00AM EST.
