Richard Ward Obituary

He was born on November 17, 1956, in Martins Ferry, OH, son of the late Frank Eugene Ward, Sr. and Ella Mae Heath Ward.
Richard retired as a produce packer with the former Coronet Foods in Wheeling, WV and was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church. He had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, fishing, and watching sports, especially his Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved being with his wife, Sandra, their daughter and grandchildren.
His grandson, Montgomery, is sorry they couldn't finish the work on his trailer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Frank Eugene Ward, Jr.; and sister, Tanya Neal.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sandra Sue Hercules Ward; daughter, Kelly Jean Ward; two sisters, Michelle Neal and Donna Mick; two brothers, Jody Ward and Phillip Ward; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Ward, Montgomery Baxter, Thomas Pulliam, and Cheyenne Pulliam; several nieces and nephews; and his two dogs, Precious & Sweetie.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) with Reverend Thomas Rentfrow officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family and mailed to 8 Krista Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.
