Richard Charles Yates Sr.

Richard Yates Sr, 61, a hardworking, down-to-earth man who found joy in life's simplest pleasures, passed away on Sunday November16th. He was the beloved husband of the late Gail Robin (Fiske) Yates

Born in Warwick he was a son of the late Judith and John Yates

Mr. Yates was the kind of person who never needed much to be happy, a cold beer, a good country song, and time spent under the hood of a car were more than enough. He could fix just about anything and tackled every project with steady hands and quiet confidence. When the day was done, you could usually find him relaxing with an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger, a show he never seemed to tire of.

He will be remembered for his easygoing nature, his loyalty, and his honest, uncomplicated way of living.

He is survived by a son Richard Yates Jr; a brother Daniel Yates Sr; and a sister Debbie Andrade. Mr. Yates was preceded in death by his siblings John A. Yates and Bonnie L. Yates

At the family's request, the services will be private.
