Rickey Hicks Sr. Obituary
Rickey Hicks Sr. age 75 of South Whitley, Indiana, formally of Big Springs, Knott County, Kentucky, was born to Allen “Boot” and Evelyn (Risner) Hicks on August 22, 1949. On September 6, 2024, Rickey passed away peacefully at home.
The loving memory of Rickey Hicks Sr. will be forever cherished by his wife Kathleen Hicks; daughter, Linda Hackworth; sons, Rickey Hicks Jr. and Jeremy Hicks; step sons, Greg and John Henderson; sister, Johanna Maiden; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rickey was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua Hicks; step daughter, Diane Witte; brother, Birchel Hicks; sisters, Elizabeth Fraley and Patty Clouse; great-grandchild, Cameron; step-grandchild, Stephen; and step-great grandchildren, Kylie and Leland.
Family and friends may call Friday, September 13, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with calling beginning at 9:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at New Haven IOOF Cemetery, 1109 Hartzell Road, New Haven, Indiana.
The family of Rickey Hicks Sr. has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
