Rickey "Rick" L. Seipel, 78, of Piqua, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 11,1947, in Piqua, Ohio, to the late William J. Seipel and Bonetta M. (Snyder) Seipel. He married his wife Karen "Kay" Eberwein on April 22,1972 in Piqua, and she survives.

Rick will be forever missed and remembered by all those who knew and loved him, he was a loving husband, and devoted father to his daughter and many others. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son in law: Kayleigh (Justin) Miller, Piqua, OH; one brother: William L. Seipel, Houston, OH; one sister and brother in law: Rose Ann (Bob) Copper, Celina, OH; three grandchildren: Ellie, Ryleigh, Westin and several nieces and nephews: Joe (Kathy) Hamilton, Josh (Jeannie) Hamilton, Robbin Scherorluke, Jill (Larry) Hicks, Rosalee Cooper, Jay Anthony, Ashley Hall, Daryl Hall, and special friend: Mike Poling and many others.

Rick graduated from Piqua Central High School in 1965. He was a member of Seedbed 61, Madison Avenue Church of God and Snyder Road Church of God in Piqua. He proudly served his country by entering the U. S. Army and serving from 1966-1968. He started his own business, Seipel Properties and it operated for 47 years, he also worked for BF Goodrich in Troy, Ohio for 12 years. Throughout his life he had fun going to car shows, working on cars and even collecting a few himself. He owned a 1976 Corvette Stingray and a 1976 Chevy Cheyanne. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye football and basketball fan and enjoyed watching the games. What brought him the most enjoyment in life was spending time with those he loved, his family.

A Celebration of Rick's Life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday July 18,2025 at Troy First Church of God, 924 Troy-Urbana Rd. Troy, Ohio, with Rev. Jacquelyn Mann officiating. The family requests that everyone please wear their Ohio State Buckeye gear to honor and celebrate Rick's life and legacy.
