Ricki Bashore Obituary

Born in Bethel on September 25, 1954, he was the son of the late Rufus and Cathaline (Ratliff) Bashore. Ricki was a dairy farmer for most of his life. He was then a crop farmer and a seed salesman for Hubner Seed. He was a member of the Little Swatara Church of the Brethren and the PA Farm Bureau. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Ricki, Jr., and his wife Christine Bashore of Lebanon; daughters Jennifer wife of Michael Rittel of Annville, Andrea wife of Timothy Showers of Fredericksburg and Melissa wife of Nathan Dove of Jonestown; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Boltz and a brother Terry Bashore.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 30 Rehrersburg Rd., Bethel. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church.

My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Bashore. I hope & pray that all of you find comfort in all of the happiest memories. It was a pleasure to be part of his care.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of your dear husband/brother/father/grandfather. I can tell you from personal experience this present sadness will turn to pleasant memories with the passage of time. I trust the peace of God will comfort you and those you love during this very difficult time. What a blessing it is to know with full assurance your loved one is with THE FATHER in heaven with a glorified body where cancer has NO POWER! May Almighty God wrap you in His Strong Arms of love and hold you real tight. Cherish the precious memories!
I am so sorry I cannot attend the service in person but will be with you in thought.
