Born September 10, 1956, in Richmond, Indiana, to Phillip and Betty Lou Garrett Hilling, Rick was a life-long resident of this area. He was a graduate of Centerville High School and attended Ball State University. Rick worked as a semi driver for Belden and had previously owned Rascal's Lounge. He enjoyed drag racing, sometimes with his brothers, and remote-controlled cars and planes.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Hilling, to whom he was married on August 8, 2009; son, Michael Hilling; granddaughters, Shalyn and Cambry; brothers, Phillip (Roberta) Hilling and Lyndel Hilling; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; special friends, Steve Witte and Tim Eley; and his fur-baby, Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Rickie Lee "Rick" Hilling will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, in Hagerstown.
