Ricky Jay Engle

Ricky Jay Engle unexpectedly passed away peacefully on December 30th, at the age of 61, in his home in Enoch, Utah.
Ricky was born in Cedar City, Utah, on August 12, 1963, and was the third child of Walter Henry Engle and Colleen Clark Engle. Rick was a member of Cedar High School's class of 1981 and was proud to have been a Redmen.
In 1986, Rick married Alesse Waite. Although their marriage was brief, they were blessed with a daughter, McKenzie Anne.
17 years later
Rick met and married the love of his life, Shallon Payne, on August 21, 2004. In 2005, Rick and Shallon welcomed their son, Tucker Payne Engle.
Throughout his life in Cedar City, Rick enjoyed playing little league baseball, hunting, riding four-wheelers, and spending time with family and friends. On good days, you could find Rick in the garage woodworking, fixing up a project car with Tucker, or listening and dancing to "Crazy Train."
Rick is survived by his wife, Shallon Payne Engle; his father, Walt Engle; his daughter, McKenzie Anne (Shea) Esplin; his son, Tucker Payne Engle; his grandchildren, Lance and Coral Esplin; and his siblings, Bill (Laurie) Engle, Jill (Kelly) Prisbrey, Stacy (Gordon) Taylor, Randy Engle, and Cami (Tawn) Mangum.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Colleen Engle, and his nephew, Jared Prisbrey.
Services will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 451 E. Midvalley Rd. Enoch, Utah 84721 starting with a viewing from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The funeral will begin at 11:00 followed by interment at 12:00 pm at the Cedar City Cemetery.
