Riley Morgan Weinberg was born on November 19, 1998 at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, and passed away October 24, 2023 in Colorado Springs, CO.
She was a military child her entire life and learned to be independent from a very young age. She was incredibly talented, creative, smart, and adaptive. She lived in South Dakota, Texas, Illinois, Maryland, Florida, Virginia, and Colorado. Her passions were serving other people, playing lacrosse, the piano, and singing. She was quite the outdoorsman as well - learning to camp, kayak, and hike. She also battled epilepsy most of her life, but she never let this disability hinder her spirits or abilities. She was a true fighter.
Despite her quiet disability, she graduated with honors from La Plata High School, La Plata, MD in 2017 and continued her education at Word of Life Bible Institute, Hudson, FL. She finished her education at her dream college, Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2021 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Public Health. Nothing stopped this young lady! She worked for BRAAC, in Virginia, assisting children with Autism as a Behavior Technician. In November 2022, Riley moved from Forest, VA to Colorado Springs, CO where she thrived. Her happiness was evident as she worked for Alpine Autism Center, Colorado Springs, CO, but her epilepsy was getting the best of her. She relocated to work with the team at 3 Hundred Days of Shine, Monument, CO. She was so happy working with Mike and the rest of the gang.
Riley is survived by her parents, David and Stephanie Weinberg, maternal grandfather, Larry Campbell, and paternal grandmother, Donna Brown, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Abigail Weinberg, paternal grandfather, Steven Weinberg, and maternal grandmother, Cheryl Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Riley with donations to her memorial fund via Venmo (see photo QR). Checks also accepted made payable to David/Stephanie Weinberg (memo “Riley Weinberg Memorial”). Mail to 4301 Willow Cir., San Angelo, TX, 76904.
