Rita Menges Obituary
Rita Ann Menges, 70, of Goshen, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at Waterford Crossing Health Campus.
She was born Nov. 27, 1954, in Goshen to David and Joan (Culp) Mayberry.
On Oct. 31, 2022, she married David T. Menges in Roswell, New Mexico.
Surviving are children Frederick (Jennifer) Welker, David J. (Alison) Welker, Lisa Menges, William J. (Tabitha) Menges and David C. (Sarah Medlin) Menges; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Hollowell.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of Frederick and David, Freddie J. Welker, and a sister, Susan Mayberry.
Rita completed her Registered Nurse degree at Goshen College. She later worked as a field representative for the Census Bureau.
She enjoyed music and attending concerts at Sauder Music Hall on the campus of Goshen College. She also served as a Scout Leader.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 10 a.m. memorial service will take place Saturday, Nov. 15. Pastor Mark Snyder, Pleasant View Church will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Goshen College Scholarship Fund or the Jefferson Township Fire Department.
