Rita J. (Prudente) "Prudente" Siracuse

Rita J. (Prudente) Siracuse, age 92, of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was the wife of the late Michael W. Siracuse. Born and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Irvine) Prudente. She was a graduate of East Boston High School, class of 1951. Rita had lived in Lynn for the greater part of her life.

Rita worked as an inspector for AEI Industries until her retirement in 1998. She was an active communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Lynnfield and was a member of the church choir. She enjoyed playing the piano and loved to host holidays at her home. Caring for her family was most important to her, and she lived for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children; Michael Siracuse and his late wife Pam, Linda McKenzie and her husband Michael, Diane Cutler, and Mark Siracuse and his wife Kellyann; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Florence Downey and Geraldine Damiano, her brothers, Michael Prudente and Richard Prudente; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Anthony Prudente, Albert Prudente, Lorraine Boutiler, and Joe Prudente.

Her visiting hours will be held on Monday from 9AM-10:30AM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield at 11AM. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family understands if you are unable to attend and would like you to know that your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
