Robert Eugene Allen

Robert Eugene Allen, 86, of Holt, Missouri, passed away on January 1, 2026, at Liberty Hospital.
Robert was born on October 21, 1939, at home in Holt to Gene and Helen Allen, and he remained a lifelong resident of the community. He graduated from Lathrop High School in 1959. Known for his gift of fixing anything with an engine, Robert spent most of his career as a mechanic at Guy's Foods in Liberty, Missouri. He valued hard work and took pride in a job well done.
He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, and he loved classic westerns. Robert also appreciated old country music, feeding the birds, and treasured the memories made during deer-hunting trips with friends - especially with his son.
Above all, Robert loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially looked forward to visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A natural storyteller, he could spend hours reminiscing about the people and moments that shaped his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Allen; daughters, Shelly Allen and Sunny Allen; his parents, Gene and Helen Allen; and Robbie's mother, Peggy Allen.
Robert is survived by his sister, Ruth Anne Coble; son, Robbie Allen; daughter, Colleen Watt; stepson, Jeff Montroy; and grandchildren Baylee, Madisen, Anna, Ellie, Brooke, Jake, Kaela, Katlyn, Cody, Taylor, and Cole, along with his great-grandchildren and extended family.
Robert was a steady and loving presence in the lives of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by all.
