Loretta May Roberson

Loretta May (Crowley) Roberson, 83, of Lawson, Missouri, passed away on January 10, 2026 surrounded by her family following her battle with cancer.
Loretta was born at her family home in Stewartsville, Missouri on April 14, 1942 to her parents Ida May (Cobb) Crowley and Frank Marshall Crowley. She grew up in Turney, Missouri and attended school there for grades 1-7. Then transferred to Lathrop where she graduated from Lathrop High School in May of 1960. On May 28, 1960 Loretta married her high school sweetheart, Gerald Wayne Roberson, just eight days after they both graduated from high school.
Loretta was a member of the Kearney Saddle Club from 1960-1968. Early on, she worked for John Hill School Bus Company. Later, Loretta began working in the banking industry and completed her associates degree in finance from Rockhurst College. She remained in the financial industry for over 40 years before she retired. She was dedicated to and served various roles at the Elmira Baptist Church faithfully until her passing. Loretta was said to be a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great nana.
Lorretta was preceded in death by her parents Ida May and Frank Marshall Crowley.
She is survived by her husband Gerald Roberson, sons; Stephen (wife Flicsha) Roberson and Glen Roberson, grandchildren; Zachary, Sarah, Isaac, and Luke, great grandsons; Dax and Kylo, siblings; Frank Crowley Jr. and Jeanette Cox, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00AM-11:00AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Elmira Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life to follow beginning at 11:00AM.
