Robert P. Anderson

1939 - 2022

Robert Paul Anderson, 82, longtime resident of Windsor Locks, entered into Eternal Peace on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital. Robert was born on December 3, 1939, in Hartford, the son of the late Timothy and Mary (Titus) Anderson. He attended Buckley High School in Hartford and went on to further his studies at the University of Hartford where he graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Business. Robert proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1959-1962 with the 2nd Armored Division. Following his time in the service he enjoyed a long career of 40 years as a project manager F100 fighter engine with Pratt and Whitney. The highlight of his career was the three years he spent in Belgium working to deliver F-16 fighter planes to NATO countries. Robert was an avid NY Yankees fan, loved going for drives in his convertible and Formula 1 racing. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas where he had made many fond memories. Robert is survived by his beloved children, Robert Anderson and his wife, Sharon, of Somers, and Patricia Ridzon and her husband, John, of Ellington; his grandchildren of whom he adored, Zach Anderson and his wife, Christine, Mackenzie Anderson and her fiancé, Phil Perrella, Kyle Ridzon and his fiancée, Jesse Bailey, and Nathan Ridzon. He is also survived by his companion, Donna Jasiecki. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife, Carol Anderson in 2011. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours from 9:30 – 10:30 am on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St, Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St, Windsor Locks. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
