Robert "Bob" Austin, aka Spike passed away peacefully at his home in Yantis, Tx on 2/3/2023 at the age of 75. He was surrounded by family and his favorite little companion, Coco. Born October 30, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Robert C. Austin Sr and Birdie L. Kirven he is survived by his wife, Paula Austin of Yantis, Tx, his little companion, CoCo; daughters Kim Petty & husband Craig of Midlothian, Tx; Lesa Trussell & husband Tim of Highland Village, Tx; grandson Dylan Petty & wife Miranda of Midlothian, Tx ; granddaughter Maddie Trussell of Stephenville, Tx; great-granddaughter Pyper Petty of Midlothian, Tx.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert Carlton Austin III and granddaughter, Chelsey Petty.

Bob was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with family.    Bob worked for years as an Construction Inspector for the City of Dallas before retiring several years ago to Yantis, Texas
The family has planned a "Celebration of Life" to be held Saturday, 2/11/23 at 1:30 pm at the First Baptist Church of Yantis for family & friends to attend; the church is also providing a dinner after the service.   
Special thank you to Choice Hospice, our dear friends Mike & Marti of Yantis, First Baptist Church of Yantis and several other friends for all of the help and support for Bob during these last few weeks.
