Robert Thomas Beck

Robert (Bob) Beck, age 82, of Pickerington, OH, passed away on January 8th, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Bob was born on October 21st, 1943, in Des Moines, IA to Sherman and Pearl Beck. He grew up in Des Moines with his three older brothers and older sister. He found a great career with United Airlines, where he met the love of his life in Los Angeles, CA and started a family.

He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, his big contagious smile and his silly sense of humor. He had so much love for his family and friends and especially his cats. He never missed an Iowa Hawkeyes football game if he was close to a T.V.

Bob is survived by his daughter Christy and her fiancé Justin; his six grandchildren, Justin, Katie, Bekah, Ethen, Daylin, and Devin; and three great-grandkids, as well as many more family members and wonderful friends he met along his journey.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Beck; daughter, Robin Naples; and his four older siblings, Lee Morris Beck, Fred Beck, Jack Beck, and Cheryl (Beck) Morris.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 15th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, OH 43147. A funeral will be held the following day on Friday, January 16th at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. The family invites all who knew Bob to attend and share memories.
