Robert Blasius Obituary
Robert F. Blasius, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Villages of Victory Lakes.
Born August 16, 1940, in Fremont Center, the son of Louis and Lucille Blasius, Bob was a lifelong Grayslake resident. He married Sue Behm in 1964, and together raised three children. A pillar of Grayslake, Bob worked at the Post Office for 40 years, volunteered at St. Gilbert, and was known for his dedication to friends and family. His love for Christmas was legendary.
He is survived by his children, Brad, Kathie and Kristi (Kristi LeFevre); his brother, Richard (Maureen) Blasius; and many loving nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue; his parents, Lou and Louie; and his many cherished dogs.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. There will a viewing from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the narthex before Mass. Interment will be held immediately after Mass at St. Mary Cemetery, Mundelein.
Memorials may be made to St. Gilbert Catholic Church.
