Robert “Bob” E. Green, Sr., 71, of Pendleton passed away December 11, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.
He was born May 20, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Robert Joseph and Margaret Jean (Covey) Green and was a Pendleton resident most of his life.
Bob was currently a Quality Control Specialist for GVC Mortgage in Pendleton where he worked for 17 years. Previously he owned and operated the Waffle House restaurant on Broadway in Anderson, Indiana.
He served as a Care Pastor at Ovid Community Church and Community Hospital in Anderson for many years. Bob was a car enthusiast whose 1995 Corvette was his pride and joy.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Yvonne A. (Freeland) Green whom he married July 21, 1973; three children, Rob (Tabitha) Green of Pendleton, Andy (Melissa) Green of Bargersville and Brittany (Bill) Case-Jones of Pendleton; 12 grandchildren, Tre (Saundra), Baleigh (Seth), Makenzie and Jordan; Emily, Rachel, A.J. and Austin; and Ethan, Kinley, Ryker and Mia; three great grandchildren, Kyla, Stella and Kingston; three brothers, Ed Stergar, David Green and Timothy (Debbie) Green; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 4-10 pm at the Pendleton American Legion Post #117, 611 W. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions suggested to the American Cancer Society.
