Waupun – Robert “Bobby” Lee Bentz, age 53, of Waupun, passed away on August 15, 2025.
Bobby was born on February 10, 1972, to Lee and Virginia “Ginny” Bentz. A lifelong resident of Waupun, he graduated from Waupun High School in 1990 and graduated with a degree in Police Science from Moraine Park Technical College in 1992.
Bobby dedicated 30 years of service to the Fox Lake Correctional Institution, having retired in December 2024. He was passionate about supporting the Special Olympics and was an active member of Edgewood Community Church.
Known for his love of wrestling and football, Bobby also embraced a healthy and active lifestyle. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Bradley (Melanie) Bentz of Osceola and Noah Bentz of Kewaskum; grandchildren, Brady and Parker Bentz; his mother, Virginia “Ginny” Bentz; sister, Pam (Doug) Foreman; aunt/godmother and uncle, Jeanne and Bart Ludjack; Rene and Tia Bentz; niece, Lauren (Joe) Meyer; and nephew, Ryan Giese.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Bentz.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
