Robert “Bobby” Edward Highsmith, age 83, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 25th, 2024.
Bobby was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to Paul and Frances Highsmith. He managed the municipal auditorium until 1995, when he went to work for Varnell Enterprises. There, he toured with several country music stars. He loved his time on the road with them. He was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church, where he loved to cook and host dinners.
Bobby is preceded in death by his mother, Frances; father, Paul; Sister, Peggy Ann Coleman; and grandson, Rob Johnson.
Bobby is survived by wife Carol; children Terry (Michelle) Highsmith; Sherrie Johnson; Donna Hayes and Angela (Seth) Watson; Grandchildren Mitch (Stephanie) Highsmith; Michael (Jessie) Highsmith; Terry (Larae) Johnson; Alex (Savannah) Hayes; Nicole (Travis) Dermady and Elizabeth Watson; 10 Great Grandchildren; Niece Beth (Nick) Busha and 2 great nephews and bonus daughter Becky (David) Smiley.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 11 AM till 1 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1 PM, at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, TN 37015
