Robert K. Boyer

Robert (Bob) Boyer, age 89, passed away on January 22, 2026. He was born on February 24, 1936, in Revelo, Kentucky, to the late Silas and Bertha Boyer.

Bob was the devoted husband to Colleen Boyer. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on December 27th.

Bob was the caring father to Robert Jr. (Kristen), Steven and Timothy (Krista). He was also an immensely proud Papa to Harper, as well as a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Madeliene, Gwen, Bill, Wanda, John and Edison.

Bob was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Army at Fort Benning in Georgia. In 1964, Bob started a long and celebrated career in automotive sales. He worked over 35 years at Falvey Motors, Jack Cauley Chevrolet in Ferndale, Michigan, and Bob Steele Chevrolet in Merritt Island, Florida. Upon retiring from automotive sales, he spent the last 16 years of his work career at the Royal Oak Golf Course.

Bob enjoyed playing golf, especially with his sons, spending time with his granddaughter and watching his beloved westerns.

A visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 1368 N. Crooks Road, (between 14 & 15 Mile Roads), in Clawson, 48017, on Thursday, January 29, from 2-7pm. Military honors will be rendered to honor Bob's dedication to his country on Thursday at 3pm.
